This policy explains what Unlock Paradise collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Unlock Paradise is a guide to hidden destinations in Palawan, Philippines, operated by UNLOCKPARADISE.PH BOOKING SERVICE of National Highway, San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Our website address is https://unlockparadise.ph. You can reach us at support@unlockparadise.ph.

What we collect

You can browse destination listings without an account. If you create one, we collect and store:

• Your email address, used to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
• Your display name, which appears on any review you post. If you do not set one, we show the part of your email address before the @ symbol.
• Your profile photo, if you upload one. We resize it to a 192×192 square and keep only that version — the original file, and the camera metadata it carries such as GPS location, are discarded on upload. Your photo is public: it appears next to any review you post, where visitors who are not signed in can see it. You can remove or replace it at any time from your account page, and the file is deleted from our server, not merely hidden. We may also remove a photo that breaks our Terms. If you do not upload one, we assign you one of eight preset illustrations.
• Your bucketlist and portfolio — the destinations you save and the ones you mark as visited.
• Any rating or review you submit, together with the date you submitted it.
• Standard web server logs, including IP address and browser type, kept by our host for security and troubleshooting.

You do not need an account to send us a message. When you use our contact form we store your name, your email address, the reason you picked from the list, and the message itself, along with the browser and device you sent it from. We keep it so we can reply to you and have a record of what was asked. Ask us at support@unlockparadise.ph and we will delete it.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card number, bank details, or any other payment credentials. When paid membership becomes available, payments are handled entirely by our payment processor, and only the result of a payment — whether it succeeded, and when your membership runs to — is returned to this site.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Cookies

We use cookies set by WordPress to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Clearing your cookies will sign you out.

Services we rely on

• Xendit or PayMongo — a licensed payment provider processes membership payments. Payment details you enter go to the provider, not to us.
• Mapbox — renders the maps on this site. Loading a map sends a request to Mapbox from your browser.
• jsDelivr — a content delivery network that serves part of the code behind our photo galleries. Opening a destination page sends a request to jsDelivr from your browser.
• Hostinger — hosts this website and its database.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the data held on your account, correct anything that is wrong, or delete your account and its data. Write to support@unlockparadise.ph from the address on your account and we will action it.

Deleting your account removes your profile, bucketlist, and portfolio. Reviews you have posted may be retained without your name attached, so that the ratings other travellers rely on stay accurate.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete it, we do so within 30 days. Server logs are rotated by our host on their own schedule.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will email account holders.
