Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of unlockparadise.ph. By creating an account or subscribing to Explorer+, you agree to them.

Who we are

Unlock Paradise is operated by UNLOCKPARADISE.PH BOOKING SERVICE of National Highway, San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person using the site.

What the service is

Unlock Paradise is a guide to destinations in Palawan, Philippines — many of them off the standard tour routes. We provide photographs, descriptions, travel times, access notes, and maps, plus tools for saving destinations and recording the ones you have visited.

Accounts

• You need an account to view full destination profiles. Accounts are for one person; do not share your login.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
• You must give a working email address so we can reach you about your account.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Membership tiers

• Guest — no account. You can browse destination listings.
• Explorer — free. Adds full destination profiles, a membership profile, and the ability to rate and review destinations.
• Explorer+ — ₱39 per month. Adds premium destinations, your bucketlist, and your travel portfolio.

We may change what each tier includes. If a change removes something material from a paid tier, we will tell Explorer+ members by email before it takes effect.

Billing

• Explorer+ costs ₱39 per month.
• It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
• Payments are processed by a licensed payment provider such as Xendit or PayMongo. We do not store your card or bank details.
• If we change the price, we will give Explorer+ members at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.

Cancellation

You can cancel Explorer+ at any time from your account. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account reverts to the free Explorer tier. Partial months are not refunded. Full detail is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Reviews and content you submit

You keep ownership of the ratings, reviews, and photographs you submit. By submitting them you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and reproduce that content on Unlock Paradise and in material promoting it. Your profile photo is licensed for display on Unlock Paradise only — we do not use it in promotional material.

Submit only content that is yours to submit. Do not post reviews of places you have not been to, reviews written in exchange for payment, or anything unlawful, abusive, or misleading. The same applies to your profile photo: upload only an image you have the right to use, and nothing obscene, hateful, or impersonating another person. We may remove any content, including a profile photo, that breaks these rules.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, bulk-download, or republish our destination data. Do not attempt to bypass membership gating, interfere with the site’s operation, or access other users’ accounts.

Accuracy and travel risk

Destination information is provided in good faith and checked as best we can, but conditions in Palawan change — roads wash out, access permissions change, tides and weather vary, and travel times depend on your vehicle and the season. Information on this site is a starting point, not a guarantee.

You travel at your own risk. Many of the destinations we describe are remote and unsupervised. Assess conditions yourself, use local guides where appropriate, and do not rely solely on this site for decisions about your safety.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising from your use of Unlock Paradise is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from travel to any destination described on this site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and disputes are subject to the courts of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects paying members, we will email them before it takes effect.
